1. How does the COVID-19 virus spread?

- The COVID-19 virus spreads through contact with droplets and respiratory secretions (runny nose, phlegm, etc.). When an infected person coughs or sneezes, droplets containing the virus are blown into the air and enter another person's respiratory system; or, when you touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with a virus-contaminated hand, the virus can be absorbed through the mucous membrane. To prevent this, wearing a mask is strongly recommended.

2. What is the quarantine situation now in Korea?

- Under special immigration procedures, all immigrants arriving from abroad must have their body temperature measured, regardless of their nationality, and also need to complete a special quarantine report and a health questionnaire. Those who are subject to special immigration can enter Korea only if their contact information and residence in Korea are confirmed, and must install the ‘Mobile Self-Diagnosis App’ to check for possible infections such as fever during their stay. All immigrants must install the App and check their status once a day for 14 days after entering Korea, and use the App to report whether or not they have symptoms.
